My understanding is that you may not even need a camera pass, if the laptop belongs to NRL. Quoting NRLNOTE 5510 dated December 7, 2005:


"A Camera Pass is not required for NRL personnel who are authorized access to NRL-owned photographic equipment in conjunction with their jobs. Division Heads shall monitor access to and use of Division photographic equipment."
