[Fed-Talk] Re: ISight and Bluetooth removal

We have been able to take apart and remove the camera/mic/IR sensor module
from the Gen2 iMac G5. It is a single small board with two wire plugs (one
is USB). It took some doing, but it worked and we got approval to use these
in areas that do not allow devices. The machine looks like a showroom
machine as the camera is behind a thin piece of plastic and the mic and IR
sensor don't show anyway.

We haven't seen the new iMac Intel, so don't know how complicated that will
be.

Of course whether or not this removal is allowed in other facilities is
definitely a case of YMMV.
