I'm trying to use Mail.app as my main email client, but I can't for the life of me get it to allow me to digitally sign or encrypt messages. When I put my CAC card into the reader, Keychain Access recognizes my card, and I'm able to unlock it with my pin. I followed the instructions in the help menu for Mail, and tried to customize the fields in my message, but I'm not given any buttons that allow encryption/signing. What am I doing wrong???

I'm using Mail.app Version 2.0.5 (746/746.2) under OS X 10.4.4 (build 8G32)
