| AES block cipher algorithm "rijndael" is from Belgium isnt it ? Blowfish (written by Bruce Schneir) is from California. So far Blowfish is the one I trust the most because it was developed outside of the US, and it has many open source applications so you can see if there are any backdoors in it.... when the government said "AES128 is the new standard" I immediately knew they must have something to crack it.
