| Fix permissions goes through a list of default permissions for everything in the standard disk and changes them back to what they are supposed to be. Adobe is good at making RW changes to system folders/files. I always run fix permissions after installing Adobe software. It also is one of the first things I do when I'm having system-related problems. It doesn't always fix the problem, but it puts it into a known state, helping troubleshooting.
