I just got a new CAC card from the Pentagon badge office today. My old
card was an AXALTO. This one is an Oberthur ID One V5.2a Dual card. I
need DOD CA-19 and DOD EMAIL CA-19 certificates in CER format so that
Keychain recognizes that the my digital certificates are signed
appropriately.
Would someone please tell me if the certificates are available in CER
format or only CRL format. Second, if the certs are available in CRL
format, what process do I have to go through to convert them to CER
format usable by Keychain?
I have Win XP running under VMWare Fusion 2.0.
You can always get the certs directly from the CAs, on the retrieval
tab. The name form is:
Even numbers are in .den.disa.mil (Denver) and odd numbers in
.chamb.disa.mil (Chambersburg), but I don't remember if that's an
absolute rule. So if you get a DNS failure for one, try the other.
