RE: [Fed-Talk] Facetime for Official Business?

You of course recognize that "because you're on a Mac" is Geek speak for "I'm a Windowz Winnie and Macs are a rumored threat to the evil empire we maintain every day so our jobs will be here tomorrow. That's why you have to play with the toys we want you to play with." And no, we won't design the web site to work with anything we don't use." And the regs were designed when the PDP was still running strong at MIT. The technology surges forward but the regs remain at the comfort level of those moles that haven't seen daylight for quite a while.

I have good luck with Apple stuff too :) FaceTime though uses some ports that our firewalls do not permit access through. And when trying with other government facilities we were unable to connect unless they were on the local LAN not going through the firewall.

My stuff at home works fine, but as you probably know, whenever something is wrong with a Mac it's always the macs fault, right? A quick call to most help desks that will be the first answer you receive to any problem... "Hey, the coffee maker isn't working.... well thats because you're on a mac!" :)
