Re: new node ID on bus reset

Mathieu -

You do not need to track the nodeID of the device yourself. If you create your command using
IOFireWireNub::createCompareAndSwapCommand(), we will always address the command correctly for your device. We will also (optionally) automatically handle bus resets and re-submit the command for you across bus resets..

Hello all,

I'd like to perform compare and swap command after a bus reset performed by the device.
I know how to handle it in the message function in may driver but I need to know the new nodeID
of my device to perform the compare and swap command.
How can I get the new NodeID of my device after the bus reset.

thanks in advance

Mathieu
