I am going to be writing a Firewire "Driver" for a Custom Digital Camera. It_______________________________________________
is not DCAM or any other protocol - It is strictly a proprietary interface.
Basically a flow of Pixel data over Isoch (2 Channels) - I have to start by
developing the command and control piece of the code.
This code involves "Logging into" the camera - this involves mapping some 1394
addresses and doing some Compare and Swap items to get logged into the
camera.
My main question is this - I have experience with IOKit in writing PCI type
drivers - In order to develop the code necessary for this camera - Do I need
to write any code other than Userland Code or can it all be done in user
mode?
Thanks in advance.
