Possibly OT: PackageMaker

I have a hunch that this may not be the correct list for asking this question, but it is somewhat 'user experience' related.

As per:

	<https://developer.apple.com/tools/installerpolicy.html>

...it reads:

	"if that level of access is not needed, a password requirement
	just gets in the way and even undermines security."

And so I'm trying to install into a user's home directory, not requiring authentication. But I'm having a hard time understanding what is supposed to happen if you specify "None" for Authentication in PackageMaker. Obviously, users are not prompted for a login+passw when they try to install the package. And indeed the files are nicely installed. But the installer will always fail in case of non-admin users because it will try to write to /Library/Receipts. Which makes sense. But why the "None" option then?

Am I overlooking something obvious?

Thanks.
