Re: Multi-line Tab control?

Yes...multi-row tab controls are totally yucky.
Yes...they are difficult to use and difficult to understand at first glance.

however, they *have* snuck into Aqua via Java/Swing. The LimeWire client uses them, much to my dismay. On the other hand, they don't dance around like the 'Doze version, they just highlight in blue and turn out to be far more readable than the other implementation.

John is right....redo the dialogs. your users will thank you.

Is it possible to put the tabs of a tab control onto multiple rows of

No, this isn't possible and for good reason. Multi-tab row implementations
are extremely difficult to understand and use.

I need to have 12 tabs, and even using the small font, it takes over
700 pixels to display them all. And since this isn't the only
large-ish control in the window, it simply is just too big.

12 tabs!? What dimensions does your dialog have?

And, no, there really is no way to break up the tabs into different
windows, logically.

In your opinion. Any chance you're willing to explain what your application
does, what the purpose of this dialog is, and what each tab is responsible
for?
