My 10.5 server died last friday, so I had to restore the system from a backup. Everything worked OK, apart from one user who didn't exist at the time the backup was made. I recreated them in workgroup manager, being careful to make sure their UID was the same as it was before. Everything seems to have worked apart from iCal - the server has errors like this: 2010-10-25 10:38:35+0100 [-] caldav-8010 [-] u'No principal found for UID: D59A4306-EBB4-4DD2-8CBC-737CBD4A14AC' 2010-10-25 10:38:35+0100 [-] caldav-8010 OpenDirectoryService Unable to find any record with GUID D59A4306-EBB4-4DD2-8CBC-737CBD4A14AC We can assume that his old calendar data is still there - this wasn't on the system disc so there is no reason to assume it has been affected. Also everyone else's calendar has survived intact. So I would guess the issue is that the UID and GUID are different from when he existed before (and created the iCal data).
