May be i've forgot to mention that i'm playing with a org.jdesktop.swingx.JXTreeTable...

But, anyway, i've found a solution, working as i wanted :

- a dummy JComboBox as a renderer (just to have the look of a combo) if the list behind this cell isn't null ortherwise an empty JLabel ;
- a true JComboBox as an editor with stopCellEditing() always set to true.
