I checked with him and it is a SOCKS proxy server. I didn't
realize that needed different properties. I will have him try
these changes. Thanks.
You might want to try a simpler test first, e.g.:
<http://www.rgagnon.com/javadetails/java-0085.html>
Or read 'man curl' and use it to independently confirm that the
proxy is
exactly what you expect it to be.
