My MacBinary Toolkit will do the resource fork, file-info bits, comments,
etc. as much as possible (there isn't always an API for some things). (URL
already cited, so I won't repeat.)

If you have to read or write individual resources in the resource-fork, MB
Toolkit WON'T help you with that. It will give you a random-access
read/write resource-fork, but decoding the resource-map and doing all the
rest of it would be up to you.

I vaguely recall someone once wrote a resource-reader on top of MB Toolkit,
but I can't recall who or when. I don't remember if anyone ever wrote a
resource-writer (it's a harder problem to solve).

To answer the Universal Binary question:
I intend to provide UB libs, just not yet.

The day-job thing is keeping my free time at a less than copious level, so
I probably won't get a chance to do anything until Mar 2006, at best.
