<x-tad-bigger>Thanks for the quick response, but where does this JavaApplicationStub file go?</x-tad-bigger>
<x-tad-bigger> </x-tad-bigger>
<x-tad-bigger>I’ve searched my entire Macintosh and cannot find such a file anywhere.</x-tad-bigger>
<x-tad-bigger> </x-tad-bigger>
<x-tad-bigger>The file appears to be an executable, presumably for launching java applications.</x-tad-bigger>

The Java Application Stub that a lot of us were using (the one InstallAnywhere uses) was incompatible with a change that QT made. I've never seen the actual bug explained, but the fix is to use a newer Java Application Stub (which you really need to do anyway, to accommodate the new Universal stuff). I've attached the stub we're using, which does not suffer any compatibility problems on 10.3 or 10.4, various QT versions, PPC or CoreDuo.

I’m trying to find some information on the problem where many Java 1.4 applications were failing after installing the latest release of QuickTime.
Can anyone point me to some information on this? I’ve tried Apple’s web site and Google, but no luck.
Has this problem been resolved with Java 1.5?
Cheers, Eric
