Had an email from a user "my app won't open, just bounces in the dock". Turned out he had put it in a folder with the name Audio/Video Applications and the slash acted as a path separator. Presumably reflecting UNIX underneath. Another third-Java app I have behaves in the same way, I found out. It's uses InstallAnywhere for deployment into the Applications folder.
