Maybe you should post the Python script you mentioned earlier, as a way for us to understand what you need from Java. This discussion seems to be going farther and farther away from 'scutil --get ComputerName', and more towards multi-homed DNS names bound to different network interfaces (en0, en1) in a dynamic server configuration. I may be wrong, but those seem like radically different things to me.
