Better stated, it seems to me that since that upgrade I cannot create anymore any Java class/interface/enum from within the IDE. The effect of such an action is an error that reports
"Bad version number in .class file" at the top of the stack-trace.Unlikely at the moment I have not the full stack-trace, but maybe in subsequent messages I am going to post it as well. Looking at the message it seems like the IDE was trying to load a Java 6 compiled class using a JVM 5 runtime. This sounds me possible since the IDE was do running with Java 5 as its runtime, and all my projects were using Java 6 as their default JDK. So I changed all my projects settings moving everything back to Java 5, but the problem did not disappear. Is anyone else experiencing something similar? Is it possible to remove the JSE 6 DP 9 to see if the problem is actually there? Thank you very much in advance, Francesco
