It sounds like you have produced a near perfect test case - different behaviors on different hardware pinpointing hwaccel. You might want to file it with source at <http://bugreporter.apple.com>. Given the different behaviors, you might want to include the two system profiles for the machines where it behaves differently. (Out of curiosity, does it also misbehave under DP102?)

I have DP102 installed only on my powerbook. There, it works fine before and after DP102 (that's the system without hwaccel).

On my desk machine, I don't have DP102 installed (that's my main production machine, and I generally avoid DP installations on that one). So I don't have a test case.

I'll file a bug report.
