Not sure if it help, but I've seen it before, it's fixed in the DP2
release of 1.4.1

Subject: Strange About dialog behavior

I'm having a strange problem with a swing app. The app
creates a JFrame, and creates a JDialog when the user
chooses About from the menu bar. However, when I minimize
the app, and then choose About, the main JFrame pops back
up when the about dialog is displayed. But it is a phantom frame,
because even after closing the JDialog, I can't do anything in the main
frame. Plus, the minimized app is still visible in the dock. Only after
restoring it from the dock can I access the app.

Has anyone seen anything like this? I am using java version 1.4.1_01-14
on MacOS X version 10.2.6. I have a small (200 lines) reproduction if
anyone is interested.

Thanks...

Robert
