Hardware Acceleration and disappearing screen menu bar

I've decided to finally ship a 1.4.1. version of my Java (desktop)
application. The 1.3.1. version comes in four different variants:

a) with screen menu bar and hardware acceleration enabled
b) with screen menu bar and hardware acceleration disabled
c) without screen menu bar and hardware acceleration enabled
d) without screen menu bar and hardware acceleration disabled

(Having a version without screen menu bar is necessary because of bug
that makes the screen menu bar disappear after the app runs for a while)

I'd like to know if I have to take similar precautions for a 1.4.1.
version, i.e.

- is the hardware acceleration bug definitely fixed in 1.4.1.?
- has anybody seen screen menu bars disappearing with Java 1.4.1.?
