Re: debugging

Oh. The free requirement I didn't notice above. The absence of a free
debugger seems hardly a basis for condemning a language though.

While I'll not address any of the other issues in this thread (Mama told me never to feed trolls), I will point out that there is a free, and quite decent, in my experience, debugger for Java. It's called JSwat and you can try it out yourself.
