How timely considering the recent thread:

SGI and Sun Microsystems' Software Platforms to Work Seamlessly Together with Java Bindings to Opengl

Based on this, I wouldn't expect Apple to ever support Java 3D, and I expect Sun to soon drop support as well. This should end one on going thread of discussion...

...and surely start another.
