it does work on 1.4.1 Update 1
because JAWT interface in 1.4.1 Update 1 is the same as in Panther's Java

and as I said before both have the same bug
that bug is major obstacle for me to use JOGL
(I have to put gl canvas into java.awt.Frame together with other components)

there are few ways to workaround that bug:

1. wait until Apple will fix it and meanwhile to use gl4java (that's what I'm doing actually)
2. to fix it by implementing the very same workaround I did
in gl4java mac os x implementation
I hope I'll do it soon

3. to use cocoa component with jogl or gl4java binding to opengl api
strange but works (at least it worked for me few months ago)

Also works on Jaguar (mostly) with Java 1.4.1 update 1.
