All the info in the release notes (required OS versions etc.) IS covered by the NDA.
The general announcement is probably alright (how "public" is it though, there are rules to get the ADC account aren't there?), but don't get too specific - those that agree to the NDA can read for themselves (although historically it has been shown that not everyone does read for themselves :) )

I was merely conveying publicly available news to this list. Anyone
with a public ADC account can view the downloads and download them.
Discussions about how Java 3D and JAI are implemented are covered under
an NDA. However, announcing the release of Java 3D and JAI is a
publicly available fact and therefore not covered under any NDA.
