It sounds like you want to get the web download available at:

http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/java.html

This will bring you up to build 1.4.1_01-69.1, and should include the
libraries you are looking for. The automatic software update does not
update G5s from 1.4.1_01-68 up to 1.4.1_01-69.1.
