So was I. The code constants I sent you are for accessing the file from a WINDOWS machine with an NTFS filesystem. AFP plays no factor other than the fact that you are using the hooks built into NTFS for supporting AFP in Windows Server. It is far easier to do this in JAVA on windows (IMHO) than it is to do it on the mac. The key to make it easy is that you must know the names of the streams (hence my emailing you the constants).

Ah, I was talking about accessing the NTFS alternate streams from a Java
running on a Windows NT system, rather than via AFP using Mac OS. Ironically, it
appears this too is easier on a Mac...
