what kind of problem?
I don't have any problem with developing java with xcode
(except of some suggestions for improvements, of course)
but you can do a lot of things with XCode:
standard java applications, libraries, jni development even web modules

It depends on what you mean "do java in Xcode", and what sort of problems you're having, which you didn't say.

Did you start with one of the standard project templates, or are you creating your project from scratch?
