Re: Eclipse performance?

I use it every day for work and it is a dog.. the memory usage ranges from 171M - 395M at which I have to shutdown and restart eclipse.. I did however change the min/max size of the heap by editing the
%ECLIPSE_INSTALLATIONDIR%/Eclipse.app/Contents/Info.plist.. changing the default values.. Xms64m Xmx200m. It seems to help a little bit, but the performance doesn't seem to be a big issue for the (eclipse)team, prob
because Under Windows and even under linux it seems to run fairly well.. SWT to blame?

yes it is slow (not very slow, I'd say acceptable slow)
I found very good job for eclipse:
I clean up my code with it

all development I'm doing with CW or XCode
but Eclipse is just excellent tool for cleaning sources

Is anyone else using Eclipse on Panther? If so, have you noticed that it's not quite as peppy as on XP, for instance? Anyone have any tips for make Eclipse more responsive?

Thanks!
