It depends on what you think is easy.
If 'ls -l' on the directory shows a zero-length libawt.jnilib file, I'd
wonder how that file got truncated, since it should be owned by root. It
could be a symptom of a deeper problem.
Next, running a disk-check would be a good idea. After that, you'll
probably have to reinstall Java, after deleting its receipt(s) from
/Library/Receipts/ first. A custom install from CD, followed by any
updates, should work. Finally, a repair-permissions pass in Disk Util.
