java -version works for me, IDEA seems to work, as well as the upgrade on
my kinda old G4 iMac.
What is surprising is the slower load time for applets in Safari, and the
applet I develop is running much slower within Safari than it did
before. Sometimes when the applet is just idling in Safari it is using
70%-80% of the CPU, it didn't do that before.
Running my applet from the Applet Launcher, it seems to work just fine.
I need to investigate further, and if I find the out the reason for all of
this I will report back.
But these are my initial observations of this upgrade.
