I have to report that Instantiations' Swing Designer DOES NOT work on
OS X. My coworker says it is a very good GUI Builder, but he works on
XP. I have tried it on OS X (10.3) using Eclipse 3.0 and it hangs. In
talking with the company, they have submitted a bug report (#67384) on
the eclipse site. There is some problem with SWT AWT interoperability
using JDK1.4.2 on Mac. Any GUI builder plugin for eclipse is going to
fail because of this bug (see the caveat on jigloo site). If you want
to stick with SWT, I hear it works wonderfully! As someone pointed out
to me when I first posted on this site last month, the Visual Editor
Project (www.eclipse.org/vep) isn't implemented where they are
combining SWT and AWT/Swing on the same panels. Therefore, I gave that
a try. It works with the latest Milestone release of eclipse (check
bug #47716 for full description).
That's about all I can find for Mac OS X. I've been searching for
months. I finally bought JFormDesigner and I'll use that until the VEP
is ready for production, since I have no idea if the other companies
will be able to find a work-around without the help of Apple (and as
you've noticed lately, we can't see their bug parade).

You might try taking a look at Eclipse (www.eclipse.org). This is a
full
JDT environment and is in it's 3rd major release.
Instantiations (www.instantiations.com) provides a GUI builder for both
SWING and SWT that works within Eclipse on OS X.
We build much of our directory management system using SWTDesigner. A
very
nice tool.
