Editing text in NSTextView [newbie]

Hi again,

Here's another doubt i had (and i did look for this on the documentation. It's just that this is my first attemp at making non-pure java programming, so i know nothing about cocoa and i don't know where to look for information on the documentation)..

I want to get some output text on an NSTextView (non-editable, i just want i to behave like a console to get text output), but i can't find how to do this.. is a textview's text kept on an NSTextContainer, or did i get it all wrong? And where can i see how to add text in there (or better yet, how can i do it)?
I'm supposing that after i know how that is done setting the text's font and clearing the textview, for example, are straightforward methods!

Thanks,
/jp
