Re: JBuilder 7 with JDK 1.4.2

Hi everybody !

Updating javapath in jdk.config file to
/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Libraries/libjvm_compat.dylib

And running the script

> cd /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.4.2
> sudo ln -s Home/bin/ bin

worked fine for me. Thank you guys for your help

Your remarks aren't really funny and aren't helpful at all :(
At least other developers on this mailing list have a more constructive way
of thinking :-)

Don't you expect simple upgrades done with system software upgrade menu (JDK
1.4.2 isn't a beta test version now) not obliging you to upgrade to new
development tools ?
As old readers of this list may know, I've been a great supporter of Java on
MacOS for a very long time now. On MacOS, I learned Java, developed and
supported Java products, like PJA Toolkit http://www.eteks.com/pja/en and
Jeks http://www.eteks.com/jeks/en.
Even if I'm not a direct partner of Apple, I'm always astonished by their
behavior towards their big partners : Borland was the first one to support
correctly their IDE on MacOS X. As thanks for that support, JBuilder isn't
even cited in IDE list at http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/java/ and
finally Apple claims "there is no known workaround other than upgrading to
JBuilder X" when upgrading to JDK 1.4.2 !
Sorry but I can't help thinking it's not a nice way of doing business...

Thank again for your help
