Re: Java 1.4.2 and Wacom tablets?



There's sample code at wacom.com for Cocoa processing of Wacom events.
(See http://www.wacomeng.com/devsupport/mac/downloads.html). They
provide information by sub-classing mouse events to add fields that
describe pen information. A similar approach could be used for Java.

I particularly like this comment:

"If you require Proximity events, dual device tracking, tilt,
deviceID, pointerType (pen tip or eraser) or any other advanced
information that can be retrieved in the Carbon Sample code, please
notify Apple that you need this functionality added to AppKit."

Notify Apple!
