Actually you'd think this could be done without requiring a manual confirmation. The send mail client application retains all sent messages. for time X. The receiving application or receiver sends back a confirmation request that the application "automatically" handles. If a matching cached sent message is found a confirmation is automatically returned. Eliminates the need for the manual confirmation, I'm not sure it reduces any 'spam' or potential 'spam' related bandwidth problems.

I guess if you get paid for it then it can't be spam?
