Probably - witness the number of developers asking SUN to tell them if/when it (JDK 1.5) was coming out. Now those on the Apple platform will do exactly the same and probably worse because they feel they're being left behind given that Linux, Solaris and Windows have versions available.

I'm not saying I agree with the attitude but I do suspect the number who will ask this question are significantly larger than the number that won't. JDK 1.5 has become a hot trend and one gets a lot of strange behaviour under such circumstances.
