Emile, did you read my mail after translating it through the babelfish
[1], because your answer does not make much sense. I wrote and named
the Babelfish service, and I remember placing a lot of warnings there
that one should always mention the source of one's translation.
Je parle Français aussi! J'ai même un baccalauréat A1. Alors tu pense
bien que je connais mon clavier. Et je sais donc très bien qu'il faut
appuyer sur le alt-( pour avoir le { (sinon nom de dieu! comment
aurai-je créé ce caractère sur mon clavier)
Il y a un philosophe trés connu de Berkley qui s'appelle Donald
Davidson qui a beaucoup écrit sur la traduction, la vérité et
l'interprétation. Une des règles de bases est le principe de charité:
tu doit essayer d'interpréter ton interlocuteur de façon a ce qu'il
dise ait un sens. J'ai du mal a imaginer quelle pensée tu m'accordait
quand tu a écrit ta lettre.

Hi,
I have a french keyboard on my Apple laptop (17", 1GB RAM), and
cannot get Netbeans 4 to display the '{' or '}' character. These
characters are generated by pressing the alt-( and alt-) key
combinations. I had this exact same problem with an early release of
IntelliJ. They fixed it after I pointed out the problem to them.
Good for you, but bad for the developers that sell this kind of
software.
