How do you know? Are you involved in the certification process?
If Apple hadn't said "certified", then your statement would be true. But
"certified" is a weasel-word of the first order, since Apple doesn't say
who's doing the certification, or what it's being certified for.

I think it far more likely that 10.4 doesn't include Java 1.5 than that
Apple would have created new web pages for everything in 10.4 *except* Java.
The Tiger web pages have (as best I can tell) *completely* replaced the 10.3
pages. Even if Apple were being lazy, all they'd have to do would be to
replace "1.4.2" with "1.5" on the Java page (one new image, plus a
search-and-replace). Do you seriously think that they just forgot the Java
page?
