I'm not a developer, but a purchaser of a software product. (I was a developer for 13 years, but am now changing careers).

Specifically the software is a simple GUI interface of forms. The problem is that the scrolling almost makes it unusable. It is very jerky and annoying. The person selling it claims that it is a problem in the OSX/Java interface and that in OS9 it works fine. He says the bug isn't his, but Apple's. I'm wondering if it is just Java incompetence on his part.

Is he full of shit, or is there really a problem with OSX and Java that aren't cleaned up. I'm wondering if it is just incompetent programming and he is making excuses because he doesn't understand how to use the new platform, or if there truly is a problem with Mac/java on OSX.
