Weren't we supposed to be getting graphical acceleration back finally?
Yes, we were. That was the explicit reason that Apple had explained
the decision to slice out the hardware acceleration present in 1.3.1.
1.4.2 draws line, images, and rects _dramatically_ (like 1/10 or less)
slower than 1.3.1, making it a very poor choice indeed for simulators,
games, and 2D visualization systems. I'd been waiting patiently after
Apple's assurances and Greg's apologetics :-). Can anyone else verify
this? That'd be very bad if it were true.
