tiger on tiger

As a lecturer in a CS department that run almost exclusivley on
windows boxes (I think I'm the only person here with a Mac, and I've
only had it for about a month now), we moved to java 1.5 (tiger) at
the end of last year, as it's our general policy to use the latest
stable release (as of the start of each semester).

I now find myself in the odd position of teaching lectures to CS1
students (studying Java) based on 1.5 syntax, and having to politley
explain that I can't demo the code on my lovely new ibook, because
Apple doesn't support it yet.

While I am very happy with my new iBook, if I had researched this
problem better in the first place, I probably would not have bought
it. I'd have bought a windows machine that I *knew* would run what I
need to teach.
