What is the price of a DVD Drive (DVD Burner 16x, DL cost around 70€ in France
and we have 19.6% of taxes included...) ?
Also, I do not think it is the location to cry.
At last, 10.3 was sold on 3 CDs. Did you read some information that this time it
will be different ?
BTW: now that I recall that, Apple's better to ship the whole package in a
smaller (much smaller) box than the one they used for 10.3 (less volume + less
weight = less money [lower cost price])
E.
PS: aren't the Java Updates available to download from the Apple web site ?

I noticed that Tiger will ship on DVD. While apple has a trade-in
program, I do see a problem with people like myself that have cdrom
based macs. Some of us can't upgrade without more hassle. Its a shame
apple doesn't have a cdrom version of tiger in the apple store for
people like me. My mac isn't even that old. Its an ibook G4 800mhz.
Acedemic versions of ibooks still ship without dvd drives (low end).
For java developers, i guess this might slow their clients getting
tiger. I know it will slow us down at work.
