So I installed Java 1.5 on my Tiger system. All is well doing terminal
coding and compiling. The problem occurs when I try and create applets
and run them in Safari or in any other browser.
I get this error: java.lang.unsupportedclassversionerror unsupported
major.minor version 49.0
It looks like my browsers are still trying to use Java 1.42 to run my
Java 1.5 applets.
I tried fiddling with the 1.5 control panel in Apps/Util/Java/Java 1.5
but it appears that program is severely broken as it does not change
which version should run the applets in the browsers as the interface
makes it appear to do.
Anyway, I was wondering if you guys had any solutions, because I
really need to use 1.5 applets in Safari.
