ditto.

I've also used OptimizeIt!, and can recommend that as well.  it was
slightly less polished interface-wise, but feature-wise was a good
match.

I agree.  I used to think of a profiler as a "nice to have" thing.  I
now place it somewhere just below the compiler in terms of
importance.  If I had to choose between a profiler and and IDE, I'd
pick the profiler in a second and "hello Emacs, long time no see".
