As I recall, that's a different failure than you were getting before.

This new failure is telling you that there's no native method matching
notifyLoaded() in the native library bound to the Java class.

The origin of such an error could be anything.  Since it's failing on a
specific method, not the JNI-lib as a whole, the problem is more likely an
out-of-date or inconsistent JNI-lib.  However, it could be an incorrect
lib-path, or other reasons.

That seems reasonable.

You can do a "move-aside" reinstall, to keep your current accounts and
configuration.  I think the installer terminology is "Archive and Install",
but I forget.

It could be any installer you've run that hosed the system.  For example,
Quark's installer is implicated in a pretty serious SNAFU, as noted by
today's MacInTouch:
