Re: Is there any solution for Java application auto update?

Hey,

you should read about Java WebStart: http://java.sun.com/products/ javawebstart/index.jsp

It provide that what you describe.

If you think you can't controll WebStart enought, you should mybe check out NetBeans Plattform. NetBeans provide real create autoupdate Module, and with NetBeans 5 the development on NetBEans Plattform applications is real easey.

Hi All:

Is there any solution for Java application auto update on Mac?
We need implement the auto update for our java appliaction.
The basic process we image is that: we package and upload the java application on a website with version info, when we start our java application we can send http request to the website for the latest version, if the return version is higher than local install,
then we will download the update package for install.

Is there any other good solutions, any comments or suggestion?
