Interestingly enough, I use Eclipse 3.0.1 at work on Windows XP on a 2.7GHz
Celeron with 1GB of RAM, while at home I use Eclipse 3.0.1 on MacOS X 10.4.2
on a 12" PowerBook G4 with 1.25GB of RAM. I find the Mac Eclipse *MUCH*
snappier than the Windows Eclipse, especially startup.

Yeah, there seems to be wide variability in peoples experience. I know that Eclipse 3.0 on my faithful old 400Mhz TiBook was much snappier than the Ghz+ Windows XP machine that used to sit next to it. Yet clearly people also experience the reverse. I wonder if it might have something to do with plugin configurations and such not? I'm pretty light on the plugins these days, just FindBugs and the RDT.
