In light of next week's rumored arrival of Intel Macs, I'm wondering about about the future of SWT on the Mac. As I understand it, SWT uses a lot of JNI and the Carbon framework. Everything I've heard about porting to Intel says Cocoa is a must.

wrong.

Does this mean SWT will be using emulated code behind the scenes on Intel Macs?

no.

Will it even run?

yes, I'm using it for most Eclipse development for 4 months.
I've attached a universal binary of SWT to this Eclipse bug:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=98889
Just drop it into the plugin folder of Eclipse 3.2M4 and Eclipse will run on PPC and Intel.
